He holds the status of: Accredited Marine Surveyor AMS® (SAMS®) in the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS®); Is a member in good standing with the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC); Is a Boat US Approved Marine Surveyor; Has completed a program of professional development in Boat Fire Investigation focusing on Marine Insurance Fraud, sponsored by the International Association of Arson Investigators; Has successfully completed CARGO SURVEYING covering Container Inspections, Hatch and Discharge Surveys, Cargo Damage Techniques and Mitigation of Damages as presented by the Maritime Bureau Inc. Has successfully completed the First Marine Small Power Watercraft seminar in Small Power Watercraft Damage and Claim Evaluation as presented by the First Marine Insurance Co.
Born in Saint John, New Brunswick (NB) & educated in the Port City as well as in Halifax, Nova Scotia (NS), Canada, Bob has several decades of marine experience, in both power and sail, including multiple trans Atlantic and Caribbean passages aboard sailing vessels both as Captain and Mate. He has captained two races in the Caribbean 1500 competitions to the British Virgin Islands (BVI) finishing third place in his class on one occasion and first on another.
Bob is also - A Trainer and Examiner for Transport Canada Pleasure Craft Operators License. - Canadian Government appointed Tonnage Measurer - Is a Draught Surveyor - Graduate of the Chapman School of Seamanship.
Ross Corbett has extensive experience on board large ocean going vessels. He spent three years working for a major cruise line during which time he became knowledgeable working within a large vessel environment. During his time at sea Ross voyaged primarily in the Caribbean and throughout Europe.
Ross was brought up on the Saint John River where he began at a young age sailing the coastal waters of New Brunswick, the Gulf of Maine and into Massatuchetts. During that age he became very familiar with small craft and the maintenance of same.
Ross is an Industrial Electrician by trade. He began his career with CanMar Marine Surveyors Ltd doing small craft surveys and moving into the commercial sector with Outturn Surveys, container damage surveys, condition and evaluation surveys, draft surveys and writing comprehensive detailed reports.
Jeff Arseneault has extensive experience in many fields. He has a diploma in Global Marketing, he is a provincially licensed Business Development Agent, Jeff is also a Certified Quality Control Inspector (QCI) and a Certified Welding Inspector. He worked in the Oil Fields in Saskatchewan overseeing the construction of Thermal SAG-D plants and making sure through vigorous inspection they were built to code. Jeff has grown up here on the Saint John River and has gained good experience in small craft surveys and moving into the commercial sector with Outturn Surveys, container damage surveys, condition and evaluation surveys, draft surveys, on/off hire surveys and writing comprehensive detailed reports.
